Circa Sports does not currently have a desktop experience meaning it can only be accessed by iOS users and Android users. It is exclusively a mobile wagering experience.

Circa Sports is a sportsbook operator physically located in Las Vegas, founded by casino mogul Derek Stevens. The company started operations on June 1, 2019, and is named after Stevens' Circa Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas.

The sportsbook has grown beyond its Las Vegas location and into the mobile sports wagering space by launching a mobile betting arm in 2020 that first appeared among sportsbooks in Colorado.

The person behind Circa — Derek Stevens — began building his Las Vegas empire in 2008 with the purchase of the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino in 2008 and the D Las Vegas (formerly Fitzgeralds) in 2011, then the Las Vegas Club and Mermaids in 2015.

After demolishing the last two properties, he put his stamp on modern Vegas by building the Circa Casino.

Construction on the Circa Resort & Casino began in early 2019 and it opened in the fall of 2020.

The casino includes a three-story sportsbook and has become a bigger sports betting brand through the Circa sportsbook app, which offers mobile wagering options to customers in five states.

Circa Sportsbook doesn't provide the kind of deposit bonuses and promo codes that other Colorado sportsbooks offer. Circa's justification for deviating from the industry standard is that its priority is providing value for its customers on a day-to-day basis instead of frontloading it.

This is likely a positive from a responsible gambling standpoint as new customers aren't incentivized to make hefty deposits or bet large sums in limited amounts of time. That said, this unusual approach could make some bettors skeptical about whether they want to use the Circa Sports app.

The Circa Sports app is not widely available throughout the United States.

You can download the Circa Sports app and open an account in five states: Colorado, Nevada, Illinois, Iowa, and Kentucky.

In Colorado, there are several ways to fund your Circa Sports app. You can deposit using VIP Preferred, debit or credit cards, Play+, or wire transfer.

Those options contain some notable limitations, though. For instance, debit and credit cards are available for deposits but not withdrawals and wire transfers come with a sizable minimum ($2,000) to fund your Circa sportsbook account.

Circa Sportsbook provides customer support that is relatively limited in scope. You can contact Circa every day from 7 am to 11 pm PST. There is no live chat or phone line, although you can request to speak on the phone via email.

In our experience, emailing Circa Sports yielded a relatively prompt response. During our research, we found inquiries were answered within six minutes with an average below four.

One other way to reach Circa is to contact the sportsbook via Twitter as its website encourages customers with ideas or feedback to get in touch with that account. Circa's Sportsbook does not have a dedicated Facebook account, but there is one on Instagram.

Circa offers it users a means of playing responsibly by delivering a suite of common responsible gaming tools. 

This includes the ability to set deposit limits for betting, self-exclusion from Circa specifically, and links to resources who need assistance with gambling problems.

One thing that Circa offers that many major sportsbooks do not is contests with significant cash prizes.

It's worth noting that these contests also come with hefty entry fees.

The Circa Million is a NFL contest for high stakes players that are willing to bet a minimum of $1000 on against-the-spread football picks. Below is the basic information about the contest.

• $1,000 to enter with a maximum of five entries per person max
• Entrants make five NFL picks against the spread each week and get one point for each correct selection and one-half point for each push.
• There are $6 million in total prizes and a $1 million first-place prize. Places 2-100 have a collective prize pool of $3.65 million.
• There are also $300,000 per “Quarter” in prizes awarded every four to five weeks and a $100,000 last place 'booby prize' and $50 second-to-last 'booby prize'.

Circa Sportsbook also hosts a high-stakes NFL survivor pool. The basics for that contest are as follows:

• $1,000 to enter, with 10 entries per person max and the option to rebuy ten additional entries until the registration deadline if they lose on the opening TNF or Friday game.
• Up to 20 picks in 2024: NFL Weeks 1 – 18, plus Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday and Christmas Leg (Wed/Thur) with each entry only able to use each NFL team once.
• Entries are eliminated by selecting any team that loses or ties its NFL game that week or continues until a single entry remains.
• The player who survives the longest takes a minimum of $10 million, and the prize could climb higher considering Circa does not take any rake on this contest.
• The contest continues until a single entry remains
• If more than one entry remains after all 20 legs, the pool is split equally among all the entries that successfully submitted a selection during the leg.
• If all remaining entries lose in the same week, the pool is split equally among all the winning players who successfully submitted a selection during the leg.

Betting options like the Circa survivor contest are difficult to recommend from a responsible gambling standpoint and cater to experienced bettors and high rollers alike who are comfortable sustaining significant losses.

The Circa sportsbook website has a tab dedicated to contests and those who are interested can find information about them there in both written and video form.

The sportsbook's biggest contests cater to NFL bettors, which may be a disappointment for those who prefer to do their high-stakes betting on other college sports like NCAA football and NCAA basketball.
