Russian former freestyle swimmer and conditioning coach for the New Jersey Devils Vladimir Bure passed away in Miami at age 73 on Tuesday. His relatives reported this to RG. Vladimir Bure was the father of hockey players Pavel and Valeri Bure.
Vladimir Bure won the Stanley Cup twice as the Devils' conditioning coach in 2000 and 2003.
Pavel Bure played for 12 seasons in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers and New York Rangers between 1991 and 2003. Bure was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. In 2017, Bure was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players in history.
