Nikhil Narain is the co-author of Numbers Do Lie and currently works as a Content-Data Specialist with RG.org, TVConal, CricketWorld, Hindustan Times, and NDTV. Known for his creative use of statistics, Nikhil blends data with storytelling to produce engaging, high-quality cricket content across broadcast, digital, and print platforms.
He began his career in 2012 with Cricbuzz as a News and Stats Analyst, before joining the cricket broadcasting team at Star Sports in 2014. Since then, he has contributed to some of the most respected broadcasting companies in the industry, including Star and Sunset + Vine, while also holding key roles in major digital media outlets like News18, News9, and Wisden India Impact Index.
Over the years, Nikhil has collaborated with leading sports data firms in India and abroad, such as Kadamba, Sports Interactive, Sportradar, and CricViz. His work has spanned multiple ICC tournaments, having covered every Cricket World Cup and T20 World Cup since 2012.
Fluent in both English and Hindi, Nikhil currently resides in New Delhi, India, where he continues to combine his passion for cricket and numbers to tell deeper, more meaningful stories from the game.
